A Message from Trina Titus
In September 2018, my mother was diagnosed with endometrial cancer, which required emergency surgery. During that period, we continued the Titus Home Experience Intensives, and my mom would go to her treatments during my teaching sessions. It was a challenge we faced with courage, and together, we overcame it.
In March 2020, the world came to a halt in response to the coronavirus, and as a result, the Titus Home Experience was forced to be discontinued.
God had a plan. My mom and dad sold their house. The Home Experience teachings continued through Zoom, online courses, social media, and YouTube.
Families were forced to stay home, and the principles of this book were spreading rapidly and being. A revelation revolution was happening in homes! It was an unprecedented time in the world.
Mom and I heard thousands of testimonies about God’s faithfulness in meeting people in their homes and at their tables. God had sovereignly ordained a time for families to be together at home.
In the following years, we released the Spanish version of the HOME EXPERIENCE / EXPERIENCIA DEL HOGAR book. It was another dream fulfilled for my mom and me.
Time passed, and the world began to open up again. Although my mom’s health was rapidly declining, a few months before she passed away, she persevered and made her final international trip with my dad to teach the people of Colombia the biblical principles of this book. She returned and preached her final sermon on the Principle of the Table in Oxnard, California.
My mom’s last meal, beautifully set at her table, was at home with our family on Christmas Day, December 25, 2022. The presence of Jesus was there.
We knew it would be our last Christmas together, but we didn’t realize it would also be our last meal at the table. Once again, God had a plan, and it was perfect. My mom took her last breath on Earth and peacefully entered His presence three days later, at home. Her race was complete.
Her earthly mission is complete—now and for all eternity, in her heavenly home with Jesus. I imagine she is helping Him set the table, waiting for all of us to join them at the marriage supper of the Lamb.
The Home Experience book and ministry are undoubtedly my mother’s gift of life and love to us. This is her legacy. In her life and now also in her death. Be inspired. Be equipped. Be encouraged. Experience love. Experience peace. We never know what a day may hold. We don’t know how long our life will last. In my mother’s final words to our family, she challenged us to “make every day special.” Let’s do that!
Legacy (In Memoriam)
Devorah Nell Titus, beloved wife of Larry Titus for 58 years and founder of the “Home Experience” ministry, passed away on December 28, 2022, at the age of 75, from endometrial cancer. “Devi” was with her husband, mother, and daughter when she peacefully passed away at home in Grapevine, Texas.
Someone once said of her: “You don’t just meet Devi… you experience her.”
Devi was an EXTRAORDINARY woman of absolute excellence. To experience her was to love her.
Devorah Nell Walker, daughter of Moffitt and Oleta Walker, was born on February 12, 1947, in Salinas, California, and lived out the full expression of the Proverbs 31 woman. The youngest of two children, she grew up in a Christian home where her parents and grandparents taught her the Word of God. She was surrounded by examples of integrity, impeccable character, a strong work ethic, practical faith, and selfless devotion to others. At a young age, Devi accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. At 13, she fell in love and began dreaming of becoming the wife of a young pastor named Larry Titus, whom she married four years later. She faithfully devoted herself with all her heart to serving Jesus in her home, as a pastor’s wife and missionary.
Devi Titus was a renowned international speaker and author. Her great passion was to restore the dignity and sanctity of the home and to reshape how men and women understand the home in relation to the human heart, using the second chapter of the book of Titus. Devi founded the Mentorship Mansion, and through this program, welcomed over 1,300 women into the Titus family home for four-day sessions. These intensive courses gave rise to thousands of Home Experience groups meeting across various countries with the purpose of restoring love and peace in homes. Her core message was “The Principle of the Table” and the importance of this principle in forming deeper, more meaningful relationships. Her most well-known quote is “Home is where the heart is shaped.”
The Home Experience book is her gift to the world and represents the work she devoted her life to. In addition to this, Devi wrote several other books spreading her message, published in three languages: English, Spanish, and Portuguese. She spoke to millions, transformed hearts, and made a lasting impact on families around the world. Devi had a special affection for Brazil.
In 1978, Devi founded the award-winning magazine *Virtue*. She served on several boards and was the CEO of Kingdom Global Ministries (KGM), a nonprofit organization whose purpose is to connect and develop individuals to fulfill their life mission. Today, KGM operates in 40 countries.
She is survived by her husband, Larry Titus, her mother, Oleta Walker, her brother, Noel Walker, two children, Trina Titus Lozano and Aaron Titus, six grandchildren, and twelve great-grandchildren.
Devi was a courageous pioneer. Glamorous, sophisticated, and creative, she loved life and lived it to the fullest until the end. Her final words to her family, four days before going to her heavenly home, were: “Make every day special.” And that’s exactly what she did!
